| Climate
Ruaha National Park is situated in a typical East African semi-arid climate with a pronounced dry season of seven months.
Annual rainfall averages 500mm per annum and increases with altitude to the west of the park. Precipitation occurs from late November until late March/early April.
Coolest months are from June to August (mean average temp. 21.7 C) the hottest being October to December (mean 25.3 C).
Temperatures fall considerably in the evening because of the altitude.
